Using the female form as a template Tree Dancers are my artistic vision of how we interact with the world around us They bathe in light, pull water up from the earth, exhale purity, and dance. I am thrilled to see that I have a partner in perception. This style can be traced as far back as the early 14th century in the work of Andrea Mantegna. However, I derived my inspiration from a statement by Leonardo da Vinci in which he said, " The artist who wishes to enhance his faculties of creative invention, may look at a stain on the wall and therein perceive whatever he wishes to see." Thanks for sharing. I love your work.
Mark Johnson replied:
Thanks so much for the comment David! The draughtsmen of the 15th and 16th centuries are an inspiration to us all.
